About MIR

An authentic, joyful Montessori education

We provide a joyful Montessori education in a manner that respects and embraces the whole child.

Montessori in Redlands (MIR) is an independent, nonprofit school located in Redlands, California, serving more than 350 students ages 18 months to 6th grade. We provide an authentic Montessori education based on the principles and practices of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

Why MIR

An education at MIR focuses on the whole child to help your child develop the cognitive, physical, and executive skills they will need to be successful as adults. Students experience

  • AMI-trained teachers who are thoroughly versed in child development and teach accordingly.
  • Prepared environments designed specifically for the developmental stages of the ages being served.
  • Mixed-age groups in which younger students learn from older students, and older students learn leadership and responsibility as mentors to the younger.
  • Freedom within limits: Students make choices about their learning within limits set by the teacher and the learning environment.
  • Uninterrupted work periods of 2-3 hours to allow students to focus on their learning.
  • Individualized learning tailored to your child’s needs and developmental stage.

Financial Status and History
